Tonight’s the night for the opening reception and charity auction to benefit Heights Arts.  Here’s a sampling of how many items are up for auction tonight.

 See you from 6-9PM.  Lots of food!  Lots of great artists to meet!  Lots of fun for the whole community!

Submissions for Your Work ‘08 will be accepted June 13-15th.  Please call or email for guidelines prior to bringing your work in on those days.  The opening reception will be June 26th from 6-9:00pm, with live music, awards, food, and a live auction to benefit “Heights Arts.”

Our summer hours have started, and will run until late August.

They currently are:
Sunday: Noon to 5PM
Monday through Friday: 10AM to 8PM
Saturday: 10AM-7PM

Mattia’s Inks

We will be opened on Monday, May 26th from 10am-5pm for Memorial Day.

Our hours will change starting Sunday, June 1st.  They will be:

Sunday:  Noon-5pm

Monday-Friday: 10am-8pm

Saturday:  10am-7pm

We are currently looking for a new staff member.  The applicant must be available all shifts that the store is open all year long.  Previous art supply, retail, and supervisory experience a plus.

Please stop in the store and fill out an application to be considered. 

Unfortunately, we do not hire for just the summer.

$15 payable in advance (stop by the store anytime to pre-pay for this event). You will be supplied with an 11″x14″ stretched canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, traceable patterns, and mediums to make your own personal work of art. Extra supplies can be purchased during the event, but there will be more than enough supplied to keep your creative juices flowing.

No set-up, no clean-up, just the fun part!

Experts will be on-hand to help you.

Friday, May 23rd, from 7-10pm in the Galleria at Erieview (1301 east 9th street)

Tickets are $12 in advance at Friends of the Cleveland Kennel  or $15 at the door.  All auction items and admissions benefits homeless animals in Cleveland. 

Parking in the Galleria is only $3 that night, but there will be plenty of free street parking.

Limited edition custom designed ceramic dogs by over 20 talented Cleveland artists will be up for bidding.  Dozens of gallery quality art will be up for live and silent auction.  Delicious food and drink, raffle prizes, live music.
