Join us for a painting social.  You will be supplied with two 11″x14″ stretched canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, and traceable patterns to create your own unique work of art.  Extra supplies can be purchased throughout the evening, but there will be more than enough supplied to keep your creative juices flowing.  Expert advice will be available from Cat, our mixed media specialist.

Stop by and sign-up today to be sure that you get a spot.

It’s all the fun, none of the mess.  No set-up, no clean-up.  Just paint and leave.

Mattia’s Inks

Here is a link to one of our favorite illustrator blogs. It’s full of very imaginative devices, people, animals, and structures. If you haven’t visited this site before, give yourself a lot of time to look through all of the old posts.

Nick and Darius led a great demonstration on stretching canvas last week.  Thank you to everyone who had participated.  Not only was it a great educational experience, but also Nick and Darius made it a very entertaining evening.  If you didn’t get a chance to come to this demonstration, I highly recommend you come to see them for their next demonstration or workshop.

Join us for Drawing Day on Saturday, June 7th. Not only will we be sponsoring a part of the event down at the Galleria through the Artist Review Today gallery, but also we’ll have an area available in our store for anyone to draw on that day.

Feel free to bring your sketchbooks, and work in our store for the afternoon. We’ll be able to photograph and upload a limited number of drawings by those in our store for the day, so come early if you need help uploading your masterpiece.

We will be opened on Monday, May 26th from 10am-5pm for Memorial Day.

Our hours will change starting Sunday, June 1st.  They will be:

Sunday:  Noon-5pm

Monday-Friday: 10am-8pm

Saturday:  10am-7pm

We are currently looking for a new staff member.  The applicant must be available all shifts that the store is open all year long.  Previous art supply, retail, and supervisory experience a plus.

Please stop in the store and fill out an application to be considered. 

Unfortunately, we do not hire for just the summer.

Join us for an upcoming canvas stretching demonstration on Thursday, May 23rd from 6:30-8:00PM. Nick and Darius will show you how to stretch, prime, and sand your own canvases. You’ll open up the possibilities in your work for size and ground.

Friday, May 23rd, from 7-10pm in the Galleria at Erieview (1301 east 9th street)

Tickets are $12 in advance at Friends of the Cleveland Kennel  or $15 at the door.  All auction items and admissions benefits homeless animals in Cleveland. 

Parking in the Galleria is only $3 that night, but there will be plenty of free street parking.

Limited edition custom designed ceramic dogs by over 20 talented Cleveland artists will be up for bidding.  Dozens of gallery quality art will be up for live and silent auction.  Delicious food and drink, raffle prizes, live music.
